Payton's Guardian Angel

I have a special place in my heart for this sweet dog.  Payton says her name is Chachi and she showed up when he arrived in El Salvador.  He says she lives on the street, but would follow he and his companion around all day.  He says she knew they were representatives of Christ and if she followed them she would feel the Spirit.

This picture was taken 20 minutes before Chachi died.  Payton believes she was hit by a car after their hike down the mountain.  

I believe Chachi was Payton's Angel of Comfort, sent to help him through the first couple of months in El Salvador.  When he felt alone and discouraged.  The past couple of weeks he has felt so much better and I think Chachi knew he was going to be okay.  It was okay for her to go.

Nick's team wins the Superbowl!!

Nick's 6th grade football team (Johnson Tire) won the Superbowl game!  This means they went undefeated all season.  10-0!  So Awesome!  Congratulations Nick!  They played the other Springville 6th grade team (Johnston Construction) for the title.  Lots of future Red Devil football players!!

Jantsen's First Deer!!

The very first morning Jantsen and Greg went hunting Jants shoots his first deer.  They had been out about 2 hours.

Fall Break at the cabin

For Fall Break we went to the cabin.  We worked on pictures for Payton's Christmas present, ate lots of good food, shot clay pigeons, fished, and went hiking, four-wheeling and Brooks learned to ride the motorcycle!

Everyone on both sides of the family have a letter of Feliz Navidad.  We are going to string them together to make a garland for Payton (Elder Thorpe) to hang in his house.
