Post Christmas Cabin Time!

Saturday the 27th of December we headed down to the cabin for some fun in the snow! We had a great time sledding, snowboarding, snowmobiling, eating, playing games and watching movies.

December brings Christmas fun!

December came awfully quick this year! We took a fast family picture for our Christmas card, then Christmas Eve was here and we went to Fauxes for our traditional Faux family party. Grandma Goe looked so beautiful at almost 93. Santa came (our awesome brother, Jay), all the siblings were there except Bryan. We headed home after lots of fun to do our own traditional Christmas Eve. Santa dropped off a package of PJ's for us all and the movie, "As the Game Stands Tall". We had chocolate smoothies and watched the movie. Christmas morning was perfect and then we headed to the Thorpe's. Greg received the gift he has been waiting for for years. The Utah sign with lights from Riley. And then the moment we had been waiting for for about 7 months…the Christmas call from Payton! After a wonderful talk with him for about 1 hr and a half, we went back to Grandma Thorpe's and ate some dinner. Nick and Brooks had a splash in the hot tub. What a great Christmas!!

We love the month of November!

Thanksgiving this year was at the Fauxes. It was a small group, but we had a lot of fun. We made our own turkey again and Greg was an excellent carver. We headed to Salt Lake this year for our annual "White Friday". We ate at the Cheesecake Factory, saw the movie Interstellar and walked around temple square to see the lights with the rest of the state. :) We made gingerbread houses, Greg went to a Utah game with friends, we went to Mitchel Murdock's Eagle Court of Honor and had a birthday party for Nick. At the party, Caroline came up and let us listen to Payton's voice on the recorder he sent her for her birthday.

Boys South Dakota Hunting Trip...

November the boys all headed to South Dakota for the annual pheasant hunting trip. Even Brooks got to go this year! Ellie still thinks she is a human and belongs in the van. Jaxon was shot in the face, but the bb's were easily removed…WHAT?! A great time was had by all.
