Black Out Birthday Bash!!

January 27, 2010. We had a big surprise "black out" birthday party for Greg's 40th birthday. We just had all the Fauxes and Thorpes to help us celebrate. Everyone was excited to hide except Nick who had to wait by the window and watch for Greg's truck to appear. Everyone hid downstairs with the lights off. Greg walked in and was told to go get some green beans for dinner. He headed down the stairs and was actually really surprised when everyone jumped out and yelled surprise! This may very well be the one and only time I have surprised him! He really had no idea.

Jantsen hiding and ready to video!

"SURPRISE!"

Savannah made such a great cake!!
We ate pizza, salad and bread.

The cute cake with some of the 40 candles...

Lots of smoke! Surprisingly the smoke alarm did not go off.
Opening up the gifts...Great time poking fun at his age!

It was a great party! The only bad thing was Greg and Payton had a football meeting at 7pm that they had to go to. We had to hurry things along. Scott Mitchell made everyone sing to Greg at the meeting and Kesters brought a ton more black balloons. Happy Birthday!!! We love you!

Nick's new baseball team...

Nick is starting his first year on a Springville Super League baseball team. His coach is Ryan Johnston. He is pretty excited! They have been practicing in the basement of the high school twice a week.

A bunch of cute 8 year olds!

This is the 9 year old team that practices with Nick's team.

2010 Basketball!!

BASKETBALL SEASON IS HERE! Payton made the Mapleton Jr. High Freshman team. His coaches are Coach Rowley and Coach Beddoes. Jantsen plays in the Mr. Basketball league and the Springville Bantam league. His coaches are Scott & Neil Hullinger and Coach Snell. Nick started his first year of instructional basketball. His coach is Seth Bringhurst. They have all done well and really been enjoying the season. And what would we do if we didn't have a game to go to??

Jantsen shows his great "boxing out" moves...

Go Mustangs!!

Way to take that ball away!

St George long weekend get-a-way!

Martin Luther King Day weekend!! We went to St George for some R&R! Since the pool at the Condo was closed, we tried out the Rec Center. It was crowded, but fun! The weather was a bit cold, but that didn't stop us from hiking the Narrows and holding our annual Thorpe family baseball camp.

Nick LOVED the big slide!

Payton was trying to get away from a group of girls that wouldn't leave him alone!

Diving board acrobats...

That is perfect form, Jants!
Nice one, Nick!

Spring baseball training...

Grandma & Brooks chase balls.

Nice pose...

Gotta love the open mouth, tongue out concentration!

Oops!

The girls show 'em how its done...

The boys were actually surprised that their mom and grandma could hit the ball!
In & Out...a favorite!
About to enter the Narrows.

Can we really fit through there?

Crowning at the birth canal! :) Twins!!

Stuck??

Helping or hindering??

I just love that my boys are so attentive to me...except that it is all done in sarcasm...
Do you think they may get it from their dad? :)

Thrown into the pit of despair...
The boys and their Grandma.
Brooks wanted so desperately to bring some sand home.

We love little St George trips!!
