From Boston to New York...

More pics of the Red Sox game. We had an hour rain delay. They rolled out the tarp and everything.

Saturday morning we were up and on our way to New York at 6:30am. We stayed at the Sheraton on Times Square. This was the tour bus we rode on through New York. This is Times Square.

The naked cowboy was out!
The Empire State Building.

Ground Zero Memorial. This was awesome.

A quick look at the Statue of Liberty.

Kids in New York play baseball too!
Radio City Music Hall
A brief look at Central Park
Across the street from our hotel
We actually got on Times Square!!

Eating at Bubba Gumps on Times Square
On our way to the sacrament meeting held just below the temple.

Our tandem bike ride through Central Park! At least 10 miles long!

Time to go home...at the SLC airport...so glad to be back in Utah!
What an amazing trip!!

Boston here we come!!!

Saying goodbye to our lovely shack...The Hurricane's finished their last game on Wednesday. We had a little team party up at the "resort" then left early to Boston on Thursday morning. Averetts drove with us.

We checked into our hotel and hit the Freedom Trail. Our first stop was Faneuil Hall and the Market Place. The "Breeze Team" was performing on the street. (All black dance team) They were amazing!

Shopping for Red Sox stuff! Found the shirt for Nick (big Papi!)

Cool alleyway with those cool stairs!
The Paul Revere House.
Going a little stir crazy!

We went to eat at the Barking Crab. Payton remembered this bridge from the movie "The Gameplan".

Payton and Jantsen's first try at lobster.

Looking like true Red Sox fans, we had out on the subway for some more sightseeing before the big game.
Boston Common
Old State House
Mary Dyer Memorial. Hanged for refusing to deny her religious beliefs in the 1600's.
Granary Graveyard

Eating at Dick's at the Market Place by Faneuil Hall.
Thought she was a statue, but when we gave her money she began to dance and she loved the boys!
Jantsen had a permagrin as we reached Fenway Park!
Looking out to the Green Monster.

Put this one in to show I was actually there!

Dustin Pedroia was injured and didn't play, but that is him in the black.

Thankgoodness for the Averetts! They waited for an hour in line to get game tickets while we went on the tour of Fenway. It was brutally hot and humid.

Just waiting for the game to start!
Josh Hamilton in the blue walking off the field.

The next post will show the rain delay in the game! The stadium was completely packed! Even though the Red Sox lost, we had a great time! A chance in a lifetime!
