Kids say cute things!

January 26, 2009.  Another big snow storm.  This morning I took Jantsen to piano lessons before school and Brooks went with me.  Brooks said,  "When is the snow going to be done?"  I said, "Don't you like snow?"  He said, "I only like it on Christmas.  I like grass better."
I have to agree with him as I will be heading out to shovel!

A quick break to St. George...

With no school on Friday or Monday, Jan. 16-19, we decided to head somewhere sort of warm.  It was 60 degrees in St. George, so that is where we went.  We stayed at the Hampton Inn.  They had an indoor pool which was pretty much all we needed.
Greg, Nick, Jantsen and Payton in the big pool.  Brooks is in the hot tub to the rear.
Hiking in Snow Canyon...a St. George tradition.
Brooks, Nick and Laura pose for a picture on the way up.
What is with the tongue hanging out during intense concentration?!  You can tell they are brothers!

The other St. George tradition...having a little Thorpe baseball camp.  We also went to see "Marley & Me" and took advantage of the new In & Out Burger.  We ate there twice.  It was a great break for a couple of days!

Let's go sledding!!

Too much snow on the weekend we wanted to go to the cabin...so we had to improvise.  We took a tube and some sleds to the park by the cemetery.  This is Jantsen heading toward a steep jump.
Nick...just after the jump!  We all went except Payton.  He was snowboarding.

Again, Jantsen, Greg and Nick...Brooks sort of did his own thing.

A conspiracy?!

I believe Grandpa has been plotting with the boys...
Is that not a look of pleading? (Jantsen)
Grandma and Grandpa took the boys to Heber with them to pick up the puppy.
Nick and Brooks can not stop talking about the, still nameless, puppy.  Nick said, "Grandpa said we should make a deal with you!"
She is pretty cute!!  We will "babysit" the puppy  this weekend.  The "deal" is to see who actually takes care of her!!  My poor deprived boys!
